Keshia Sanders-Cooper, PhD

SOAR- Licensed Psychologist

Keshia Sanders-Cooper, PhD. is a clinical neuropsychologist and Maryland licensed psychologist who specializes in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and adults. She is passionate about neuropsychological assessment as a means to enhance the quality of life for individuals with a range of complex medical, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric differences. 

 

Dr. Sanders-Cooper completed her graduate training in Clinical Psychology at Loma Linda University with a concentration in neuroscience and neuropsychology. She completed an APA-Accredited pre-doctoral internship at Tewksbury Hospital in Tewksbury MA with an emphasis in serious mental illness and neuropsychology and a two year AABN recognized neuropsychology post-doctoral training program at Geisinger Medical Center. She has extensive experience conducting neuropsychological assessments for clients of every age in outpatient, inpatient, and virtual settings, providing findings in language that providers and patients can understand. 

 

Additionally, Dr. Sanders-Cooper is trained in evidenced-based practices including: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, emotion focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy for individuals of all ages. 

 

Within SOAR, Dr. Sanders-Cooper provides comprehensive evaluations utilizing evidence-based neuropsychological, intellectual, cognitive, social-emotional, and educational measures. She crafts personalized recommendations to support both needs and vulnerabilities, based on findings integrating history, clinical interviews, and individualized testing batteries.  Dr. Sanders-Cooper also maintains a small therapy caseload within SOAR, and provides supervision to our doctoral students. 

 

In her free time, Dr. Sanders-Cooper enjoys reading, yoga, volunteering, and mentoring young women.
