Ryan O'Leary, LGPC 

Ryan O’Leary (he/him/his), LGPC, received his Master’s in Clinical Professional Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. Ryan offers counseling services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Ryan strives to be inclusive and affirming of clients with all identities and backgrounds and provides a client-centered approach tailored to the specific needs of each client and their family. Ryan focuses on the whole person and how every aspect of their experience and environment can influence their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Ryan is a firm believer in the power of art, music, imagination, and creativity and encourages his clients to tap into their passions as a part of therapy. At WBMA, Ryan is supervised by Dr. Jaclyn Halpern.

 

Before joining WBMA, Ryan was an intern at Adolescent and Family Services of Anne Arundel County, offering therapy to children ages 6-18 and their families. Ryan also has years of experience working in inpatient mental health at Sheppard Pratt and Medstar Franklin Square, providing services to children, adolescents, and adults. Ryan’s experiences have provided him with training in CBT, DBT, crisis intervention, behavior planning, group therapy, and de-escalation. Ryan prides himself on his ability to connect with others and build strong therapeutic relationships. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys playing music, watching basketball, and spending time with his partner and dogs.
